Now that we are entering draft season, let’s take a look at GM Chris Wallace’s previous draft starting with his first draft for the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Memphis Grizzlies don’t have a pick in this year’s draft, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look into the past and see what we could maybe expect in future drafts. In this new series that’ll be done during the offseason, we’ll look at four topics involving the draft.

The first topic will be a review of the roster heading into the draft and what needs would have to be addressed going into the draft. Those roster reviews won’t include any of the team’s free agents they signed in the off-season, but may include players who, more than likely, came back.

Next, we’ll compare mock drafts to see which players were projected to go to the Grizzlies prior to the draft.  After that, we’ll see what the Grizzlies actually did on draft night. This section will also take a look at what players and options the team had at each pick. Finally, we’ll look back at how the draft turned out, who could’ve been picked instead and how the draft worked out for the Grizzlies in the long run. It also includes fans’ thoughts on he picks, and the overall reaction directly after each pick.
