Don’t let his stats fool you. Jarell has only played in 40 games with Memphis and is only averaging 13 minutes per game. Plus, he is still young at only 22 years of age.
If you want to get analytical and look a little deeper in to more advanced stats you will see that his Per 36 minute stats have him averaging a double double at 10.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. It also has him averaging a steal per game as well.
Although he may not be putting up the most eye popping numbers, given time and opportunity he will be dominant.
Jarell is incredibly athletic and seems to use his body well in the paint. Both of those characteristics, combined with his ability to step out and hit a 3-pointer on occasion have him in line to become really good, really fast.
