@LeoSaldanaNBA: @BealeStBearsFS should resources have been allocated differently during free agency?

Parker Fleming (@PAKA_FLOCKA):

Chandler Parsons was the right move, despite the risk. While Harrison Barnes has exploded in Dallas, Parsons and Conley talked about playing together, making his signing even more essential.

He still has three years in his contract. Marc Gasol and Mike Conley both bounced back from injuries to have their best seasons, so there’s still hope for Parsons.

However, to establish themselves as a Finals contender, they should’ve allocated resources differently in building a bench – especially with the risk behind signing Parsons. For example: the Grizzlies could’ve had Dion Waiters and someone like Gerald Green for the price of Ennis and Daniels. While Ennis and Daniels have been quality contributors, guys like Waiters and Green would be better fits for a team with their sights on a championship.
