5 Reasons why the Memphis Grizzlies should have kept Lance Stephenson

No. 5: For the sake of “Grit ‘n’ Grind”

I don’t know if this video shows how exhilarating this game was, but Lance Stephenson led a shell of the Grizzlies to create one of the best memories of this lost season. He completely ignited the crowd even when half of the “Core Four” was out. He made a regular season game against a lottery team feel like a playoff game.

Lance Stephenson played with the grit and grind the city loves. As guys like ZBo and TA make their exits, Lance could’ve kept the spirit alive and become the next folk legend in Memphis.

Even in his short-time in Memphis, he was becoming a fan favorite. T-shirt companies already made “Dirty Lancing” shirts for sale. The fans at the annual MVP season ticket holder party loved it when he had the whole experience on his Snapchat.

His play simply ignited the crowd. The shimmies! The crossovers! It’s just a sight to behold.
