No. 3: Tayshaun Prince

When the Memphis Grizzlies originally traded for Tayshaun Prince, it was a match made in heaven.

His game was tailored for the “Grit ‘n’ Grind” style of play. He had a nifty in-between game and could finish above the rim over anyone. He also was the perfect fit on the wing alongside Tony Allen as they could lock down perimeter players on any given night.

At the time, he could’ve been the missing piece that propelled the Grizzlies to new heights. Instead the Grizzlies suffered for their lack of outside shooting, and Prince played a role in that.

Even though he shot 35.0 percent from deep in the regular season with Memphis, he never eclipsed the 30 percent mark in the playoffs.

If his 3-point shot was on par with his normal averages, the Memphis Grizzlies’ history could look different.
