Joakim Noah may soon become a member of the Memphis Grizzlies and that move would greatly benefit the team.

The Memphis Grizzlies have had an open roster spot for 18 days and counting. They have not been in a rush to fill the position, but it appears that could change in the coming days.

Grizzlies General Manager Chris Wallace has been adamant about scouring the G-League pipeline for possibilities to fill the team’s 15th roster position. However, they now have the youth. The developmental plans are in place. It is time to focus on veteran stabilization.

Over the past two weeks, in which Memphis has completely climbed the ladder in the NBA’s Western Conference, the Front Office has apparently changed its stance on the type of player the team will add to fill the available role.

On Monday, as recently discussed by Beale Street Bears, news broke of the Memphis Grizzlies being in serious negotiations with free-agent center Joakim Noah.

Being as Memphis struggles to produce offense, Grizz Nation is probably expecting the team to add a scorer if any player is brought into the roster. However, since Noah has been a strong defensive presence in his NBA career, a signing of Joakim would make a long of sense.

How so? Beale Street Bears provides four reasons Joakim Noah could benefit this stellar 2018-19 Memphis Grizzlies squad.
