Brandon Goodwin

Brandon Goodwin has been the biggest surprise for the Hustle this season. He had a good summer league and training camp but we never expected him to play this well to start the season.

He played two college seasons at UCF before transferring to Florida Gulf Coast. His two seasons at FGCU were fantastic.

He won the Atlantic Sun player of the year his senior season. He averaged 18.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.

His short time with the Grizzlies organization couldn’t have started any better. He put up 32 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in his G-League debut.

He shot 14-24 from the field while draining three shots from deep. His play has been good in other games but this was his best performance thus far.

He season numbers have been great in the first seven games. He is averaging 23 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.

His 23 points per game are the best on the team. He is doing that on 55% shooting from the field and 35% from three-point range.

He even showed off his clutch play by hitting a game-winning layup against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

It’s still early in the season, but he is off to a great start. Memphis needs to do whatever it takes to keep him within the organization.
