Contain The Role Players

The Lakers are all about James and rightfully so but they have some talented young players surrounding him.

Kyle Kuzma has continued to improve after his fantastic rookie season. He is currently averaging 17.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

He has developed into the second option in the offense when he is on the floor at the same time that James is.

They have many guys though that can score the ball though. Josh Hart has developed into a really good two-way player.

He brings the effort defensively as well as some shooting on the offensive end. The Grizzlies need to make sure neither he nor Kuzma get going from three-point range.

So far this season Hart is averaging 8.9 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. He is also shooting 40% from three-point range.

You can’t forget about their starting center JaVale McGee. He is playing some of the best basketball of his career and is making a real difference on this team.

He is averaging 12 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game. His ability to block shots has been big for this defense.

Then they have Lonzo Ball who is a guy who can do a little bit of everything. He is averaging 8.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.

His ability to impact the game in so many ways makes him tough to defend. He is also an elite defender on the other end so the Grizzlies need to know where he’s at on every play on both ends of the floor.

There are more than these guys who will make an impact but these are the main guys they need to make sure are accounted for at all times.
