The Memphis Grizzlies have thrown themselves into many NBA trade rumors this week. Following Victor Oladipo’s injury on Wednesday, the Indiana Pacers may soon give the Grizzlies a call to talk trade.

In the first half of the Indiana Pacers‘ home meeting on Wednesday, All-Star guard Victor Oladipo went down with an apparent knee injury. If his season is done, the Pacers could soon join the Memphis Grizzlies in the thick of NBA trade rumors.

Let it be known that Oladipo will not have an MRI until sometime on Thursday, but the injury did not look good at all. He was taken out on a stretcher, and unfortunately for a good guy (on and off the court) like Victor, it appeared as if he has played his last bit of basketball for the 2018-19 NBA season.

As the Indiana Pacers sit in third place in the Eastern Conference by the conclusion of Wednesday’s slate of NBA games, they have no option to tank now. They have gotten this far — over halfway through their season schedule — to think about giving up.

Oddly enough, Victor Oladipo has been in a major offensive slump since returning from an injury that cost him an 11-game span in November and into December. The Pacers have been playing better during his struggles because they had to learn to perform without their do-it-all NBA All-Star in the starting lineup.

Even so, Indiana will need assistance with scoring, offensive instruction, and most of all, defensive prowess as they push toward the postseason and prove they are a true contending force in the East. In order to do so, they should immediately embark upon the recent NBA trade rumors that have surrounded the Memphis Grizzlies organization.

While it appears to be a fire sale of sorts in Memphis, Tennessee, there is opportunity for both sides to come out as winners. Beale Street Bears breaks down three potential trades that the Grizzlies and Pacers should absolutely consider prior to the February 7th NBA Trade Deadline.
