What Hot Start?

In conseuctive seasons now, the Memphis Grizzlies have began the season as the hottest team in the NBA’s Western Conference. They were blazing trails within the initial months of new seasons. Also in consecutive seasons, the Grizz have completely collapsed to the bottom of the league’s standings.

Last season, Mike Conley only appeared in 12 regular season games prior to being shut down by the Grizzlies so that he could fully heal from a nagging injury. Now in 2018-19, though there have been ongoing injury woes with Conley’s supporting cast, things are about the same record-wise.
