Dusty Hannahs

Dusty Hannahs is a very talented scorer. He has established himself as a very good shooter but he has also continued to develop the other areas of his offensive game. This is his second season with the Hustle and he has really taken a big step forward.

That is similar to the way he developed in college. After spending his first two seasons at Texas Tech he was a much-improved player during his two seasons at Arkansas. During his time at Arkansas, he averaged 15.4 points per game compared to the 7.3 points he averaged at Texas Tech.

His first season with the Hustle he was pretty much just a three-point shooter as he averaged just 9.2 points per game. He needed to show he could do more than just shoot the ball and he has shown that this season.

So far this season he is averaging 14.9 points per game and is doing it inside and out. He has upped his two-pointers attempted to 6.7 this season from the 3.7 he shot last year. He has shot it more efficiently as well making 54% this season after making just 40% of them last season. His three-pointers are pretty similar compared to last year but his ability to score inside has helped the team out.

He had a big-time performance in a road win against Northern Arizona earlier this season. In that game, he finished with 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists on 11-18 shooting, including 7-11 from three-point range.

His ability to shoot the ball alone will have him on the Grizzlies radar this summer but if he can show them that he can impact the game in other ways then he will have a real chance to make the roster. You can never have too many shooters on an NBA roster so no matter what happens with the rest of the roster expect Hannahs to compete for at least a two-way roster spot.
