Memphis Grizzlies: 3 Hustle Players To Watch For 2019-20 NBA Season
By Chris Kern
Doral Moore
Doral Moore has the size and ability to become a quality backup center in the NBA. His ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor makes him an exciting prospect and is exactly why he has had success with the Memphis Hustle and could one day have success at the next level.
So far this season he is currently averaging 8.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. His numbers will never jump off the chart largely due to the fact that a player of his size likely won’t ever play big minutes.
He has had some very impressive games this season including in a home win over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in which he finished with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 2 steals. That game showed his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

That is what he showed during his junior season of college at Wake Forest. His first two seasons he had a very limited impact but he was very impressive during his junior year. In that season he averaged 11.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game. After that season he decided to declare for the NBA Draft and forgo his final season of eligibility.
He showed his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor in college and that’s what the Grizzlies will want out of him if he does get a shot to earn a roster spot next season. His chances of making the roster largely depend on how the roster shapes up.
One guy who could determine whether or not he has a chance to make the team is Joakim Noah. Noah has been fantastic with the Grizzlies this season and will certainly be coveted by contenders in free agency. If he decides to stay in Memphis then the odds of Moore making the team becomes less and less.
If Noah does leave then the door certainly becomes open for Moore to at least earn a two-way roster spot. If the Grizzlies want an extra body inside and don’t want to give up one of the 15 roster spots then signing Doral Moore to a two-way contract would be a perfect solution.
All three of these players will be considered. They have all had good seasons with the Hustle and they certainly haven’t gone unnoticed. Look for all three to at the very least be invited to training camp next season.
