1. Grayson Allen has no timetable to return
Headline: Grayson Allen is out indefinitely with a hip injury.
What it means: Grayson Allen was having a really solid season for the Grizzlies this year. With 7.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, Allen had proved himself to be a good relief for Ja Morant off of the bench.
On Friday, he went down during the Grizzlies game against the Detroit Pistons with an unspecified injury that kept him out the rest of that game, as well as the whole game against the Suns. Now, the Grizzlies are going to have to rely more heavily on Tyus Jones and Marko Guduric to provide quality minutes so that Jones and Dillon Brooks can rest.
Calling Jackson up from the G League will help with this load, and the good news is that the Grizzlies expect for Allen to make a full return, but right now he is out indefinitely with no timetable for his return.
