Every NBA restart team’s schedule ranked
By Ethan Becker
No. 19: The Brooklyn Nets
Schedule Score: -0.6
Our first Eastern Conference team, as well as our first playoff team, but that’s not as high of a mark to achieve out east, as only one team in the conference who made the restart is not currently in the playoff picture.
Brooklyn is one of the few teams on this list to draw almost completely even in terms of their record against their opponent, with the Nets being one of the three teams closest to a record score of 0; all teams have a score of -1. The Nets also have a fairly easy schedule, as half of their games are against the Orlando Magic (who they play twice), Sacramento Kings, and Washington Wizards.
The biggest disadvantage for the Nets would probably be the fact that they will spend this entire restart without the services of Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant, though admittedly that didn’t feature into this metric. However, an argument could be made for the biggest hurdle is the fact they face the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, and LA Clippers; all of whom are big contributors to the Nets -5 schedule score. Brooklyn is one of seven teams out of the field of 22 who face three or more of the top three teams in either conference.
