Memphis Grizzlies’ ceiling

Now that we’ve talked about the floor, it’s all good stuff from here. I could realistically talk about the Memphis Grizzlies’ ceiling for hours, but there’s only so much I can fit into one post.

For this team, the sky is the limit in the long term, but this year does hold some boundaries for the Grizzlies. That being said, when this squad is fully healthy, they have the basketball talent to compete with anybody in the NBA. Ja Morant has improved in almost every facet of the game, opening a door for an entirely new level of competition once Jaren Jackson Jr. returns.

Don’t let the recent tough losses allow you to forget about what this team is capable of. This is the same team that went on a 7-game win streak, including dubs against the Nets, 76ers, Suns, and Spurs. They may be inconsistent, but their potential is undeniable.

We saw their floor on Thursday night in a game where Memphis didn’t just beat the Clippers, they blew the doors off of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard’s team. This Grizzlies team can be extremely dangerous on the right nights, they just haven’t been able to put it all together with consistency.

We’ll really get a clearer view of the Grizzlies’ true ceiling with the return of JJJ, but for now, we can be happy knowing that this team is fully capable of taking out any other squad in the league on any given day.
