Grizzlies final win-loss record: 41-31

Seeing how the Grizzlies have played with a beat up roster, finishing the year 25-15 does not seem out of reach. Yes, there will be an adjustment period with a relatively new lineup, but optimistically, you have to believe that this is a possibility.

If the Grizzlies can take care of business against lesser teams and compete with stronger teams, 41-31 is within reason. That being said, this record doesn’t give them as great of positioning for the NBA Playoffs as you might think.

Adjusting the current standings to fit the full 72-game schedule, this would put Memphis in the play-in tournament. Essentially, this means that the Grizzlies still would not be guaranteed a playoff spot. They would likely face the 10th seeded team in the West to earn their spot among the big boys.

This would still be a great outcome for the team. If they could exceed these expectations, they’d be in even better shape, but a tough Western Conference will not allow for much wiggle room.
