Where should the Memphis Grizzlies start?

It’s easy to point out these issues, but where should Taylor Jenkins start? For me, the 3-point shooting could easily get this team over the hump. This is something that could turn this .500 basketball team into a playoff-caliber squad. Taylor Jenkins might be able to knock out two birds with one stone here though.

And that bird’s name is Desmond Bane. Wait, no. That analogy isn’t quite right, but the metaphor stands. Desmond Bane needs to be a starter for this team. Yes, Dillon Brooks has had a great year so far, but he has hit a very distinct ceiling and isn’t helping with the Grizzlies’ shooting struggles.

Start giving Bane significant minutes and he’ll give the entire starting lineup more confidence. It would be a risky move, but what does this team have to lose?

At a certain point, it seems like an inevitability. Yes, he still has parts of his game to work on, but he’s good at everything that this Grizzlies team is bad at. He would patch a big enough hole to help this team down the road.

But that’s only part of the solution.
