It took hours of deliberation, but I’ve landed on Jaren Jackson Jr. at the power forward position for the Memphis Grizzlies. Okay, you got me, he’s a lock for this spot, that was a good old-fashioned joke.
Jackson’s impact is going to be huge for this Grizzlies team. I’ve said it before and I’ll said it a thousand times more: if this team stayed at .500 without JJJ, they’re going to be a scary team to come up against with him in the lineup.
With his meniscus injury, his development was put on hold for a few months, but he’ll shake the rust off and get right back into a groove before you know it. Expect a lot of stats to shoot up for this team, namely in the 3-point shooting and 3-point defense categories.
Jackson’s floor-spacing abilities will help this team on offense while his rim-protecting god-given talent will help him hold down a defense that is in desperate need of his return.
