Memphis Grizzlies G Grayson Allen played a strong game, start to finish

A big criticism of Grayson Allen‘s game so far this year is his inability to play strong for 48 minutes. He has consistently shot the ball extremely well in the first quarter and fizzled out as the game went on.

But that wouldn’t happen on Wednesday night. Instead, Allen was effective the entire game, finishing with 20 points for the 4th time this season.

He converted four of his nine 3-point attempts, staying on par with his season average, but did much more on the offensive end than most would expect out of him.

He was all over the court, making plays in transition and taking the ball to the bucket. When you think of Grayson Allen, you don’t generally think of a guy who is extremely effective in the paint, but tonight, he did a little bit of everything.

The Grizzlies reached their largest lead of the game on an Allen dunk that all but sealed a Grizzlies victory. In the same stretch, Allen had a sneaky back-door pass that left the defense dumbfounded and extended the Grizzlies’ lead.

He may not be an All-Star, but Allen’s performance on Wednesday night show exactly why he is a key part of this roster.
