Memphis Grizzlies Draft Prospect: F Corey Kispert

The Memphis Grizzlies have already shown that they’re not afraid to draft players from the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Currently, Brandon Clarke is representing the school based in Spokane, Washington.

If Clarke is any indication of how Kispert will turn out, the Grizzlies should make the move to pick this guy up. That said, he’ll likely be taken shortly before Memphis has an opportunity to draft him.

Kispert finds himself around the 10th pick in most drafts. He got there by being a strong scorer and an elite shooter from range. One promising number that is attached to Kispert is his clear improvement from year to year as a player.

This year, his 3-point shooting percentage has hit 45.8%, a number that could help a Grizzlies team that has struggled from beyond the arch this year.

He does not have eye-popping athletic ability, so he would be looked at as a project defensively for a few years. That said, the Grizzlies would be thrilled if he was still available by the time their pick came around.
