The Memphis Grizzlies got back on track with a win against one of the worst teams in the league in Minnesota. That said, it felt like a strong win, as the Timberwolves had been playing their best basketball of the season.

On Thursday, the Grizzlies will be taking on the Detroit Pistons, another team that is considered one of the worst in the league.

These two teams have only met once before this season in a February 19th matchup that saw the Grizzlies win in a relatively comfortable fashion. Morant had a dominant performance, scoring 29 points en route to a 14-point win.

The Pistons’ leading scorer is Jerami Grant, who is averaging 22 points per game. They also have one of the best rookies in the league in Saddiq Bey, who has emerged as one of the best 3-point shooters in the league.

Memphis will look to create a two-game winning streak against a Detroit Pistons team that hasn’t been winning but has been extremely competitive. It’ll be a tight one all the way through, keeping Grizzlies fans on the edge of their seats.

Can the Memphis Grizzlies get back on track in the playoff race? Our contributors weigh in.

Jack Williams (Site Expert): The Pistons are a pretty bad team. That said, they’re a feisty squad with some players who can step up as elite 3-point shooters on any given day. This is not a game to be taken lightly. Just over a week ago, they held the Atlanta Hawks to 86 points and got the win, so the Grizzlies will have to avoid another rough offensive performance if they want to get the win. I think they’ll do just that, winning a game that is tight for the entire 48 minutes.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 109, Detroit Pistons 104

Taylor Goebel: The Grizzlies face the Detroit Pistons Thursday night after beating the Timberwolves in a high-scoring affair. The Pistons are the second-worst team in the league this far win a record of 19-47. They have also lost 4 straight games and are only 2-8 in their last 10. Ja Morant and the Grizzlies should have no problem taking care of Detroit and handing them their fifth straight loss.

Final Score: Memphis Grizzlies 116, Detroit Pistons 104
