Ja Morant representing the Memphis Grizzlies at the NBA All-Star game would be a huge win for the 2021-22 NBA Season

Ja Morant is entering his third season in the NBA with expectations that he’ll be elevating his game once more. An obvious indicator that Morant makes that next step would result in him being named to the NBA All-Star team in 2021-22.

To get there, Morant will likely need to increase his per-game scoring average. Last season he averaged 19.1 points per game. Last season, guards who were named to the NBA All-Star game averaged around 26 points per game.

If Ja Morant can find a way to get to the free-throw line a few more times a game and knock down another three-pointer or two, he’ll be right there near the 26 point per game mark.

If Morant is successful in being named an All-Star, he’ll be the first player in franchise history since Marc Gasol was named a starter back during the 2016-2017 season.

Morant being named an All-Star would elevate the name recognition and brand of the Memphis Grizzlies, thereby becoming more attractive to talented free agents and other star players.
