NBA 2k23: Predicting Memphis Grizzlies player ratings
By Noah Hancock
Memphis Grizzlies Player Rating Predictions 2k23:
Rookies:
Jake LaRavia: 19th Pick, Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 71
David Roddy: 23rd Pick, Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 70
Kennedy Chandler: 38th Pick, Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 68
Vince Williams Jr.: 47th Pick, Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 67
Kenneth Lofton Jr.: Undrafted, Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 66
Keve Aluma: Undrafted, Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 64
New Vets:
Danny Green: I do not see Danny playing this year, much less for the Grizzlies. I think this could be another buyout or trade situation like we have seen plenty of times before with the Grizzlies. But they may surprise us and keep the 40% career 3-point shooter as insurance in case we are down a guard due to injury. Danny Green tore both his ACL and MCL, both of which are awful injuries in themselves and even worse when you are 35. Danny has a long recovery timeline, and I see this affecting his overall rating.
NBA 2k22 Rating: 73
Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 70
Returning Vets:
Killian Tille: The undrafted Frenchman only played 36 games last season (starting 3 of those games). He only averaged 12.8 minutes and 3.3 ppg on 33% shooting from the field. Killian is also not listed on the Memphis Grizzlies loaded summer league roster. With the inclusion of many draft picks, signed undrafted rookies, and a deeper bench, Tille may not see many minutes this coming season.
NBA 2k22 Rating: 69
Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 68
Santi Aldama: Santi became a fan favorite last season. He provided valuable minutes toward the end of the season (scoring 20 pts in 31 minutes on 7 for 16 shooting against Boston, and 12pts in 21 minutes on 5 for 8 shooting against a fully healthy Suns roster.) Aldama played the most minutes out of anyone in the first game of the Salt Lake City Summer League games. He has the potential to be a vital role player on the team, he just needs the confidence behind him.
NBA 2k22 Rating: 70
Predicted NBA 2k23 Rating: 72
