10 Memphis businesses we’d love to see become jersey sponsors for the Memphis Grizzlies next season
FedEx
No list would be complete without giving FedEx an opportunity to come back into the fold. They are the biggest business in town and have incredibly deep pockets to foot the fee.
Perhaps FedEx would be willing to give it another go with a partnership since a chunk of their inaugural agreement happened during the initial phase of the Covid-19 pandemic when the NBA season was put on pause and viewership on TV dipped way below normal levels.
Peabody Memphis
The “South’s Grand Hotel,” known for their marching mallard ducks, would be a great fit with the Grizzlies. Maybe there could be a stipulation in the agreement that Steven Adams could serve as a Duckmaster, something he’s already been on record saying he thinks would be a spectacle.
Bass Pro
Is there a more iconic structure in the Memphis skyline that the beloved Pyramid? Once home to the Memphis Grizzlies and Memphis Tigers, the Pyramid is now owned and operated as a mega Bass Pro Shop.
This is the south and there are a ton of outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen in the television viewing areas of Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Kentucky.
Rendezvous
Perhaps the most recognizable name in a slew of phenomenal BBQ eateries in town, the Rendezvous stands out about the rest for its icon locale, storied history and amazing flavors.
It’d be a little tough fitting Rendezvous into a 2.5 inch by 2.5 inch space, but I’m sure some of the design-type creatives can work their magic to make it work on a jersey.
