The Memphis Grizzlies knew they needed to bounce back in a big way against the Brooklyn Nets after getting trounced by the Dallas Mavericks in the previous game. And they did exactly that, dispatching the uber-talented Brooklyn Nets when they came into FedEx Forum October 24.

The Grizzlies led for most of the second half and built up a 15-point lead that proved to be insurmountable for the retooled Nets. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving poured in 37 points apiece, while Ja Morant and Desmond Bane went off for 38 points each.

The production from these four stars mostly canceled each other out, which made this a battle between the bench and various role players. The Grizzlies were deeper and got better results from their other starters, namely Steven Adams and Santi Aldama.

The Grizzlies don’t play again until Oct. 27 at Sacramento, but before then, let’s dive into some of the players who struggled in this matchup and some of the players who really shined.
