The Memphis Grizzlies (2-1) come back home after their two-game Texas road trip for a matchup against Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets (1-1) on October 24.
The Grizzlies will be two days removed from their blowout loss against the Mavericks, in which Luka Doncic dropped 32 points with ease. They will need to forget that that game ever happened, and shift their focus to defending their home court against a very solid Nets team.
Let’s take a look at what to expect in this bounce-back opportunity for the Grizzlies.
Memphis Grizzlies vs Brooklyn Nets Odds, Spread, Over/Under

Memphis Grizzlies Starting Lineup vs Brooklyn Nets
Dillon Brooks was expected, amongst the media, to suit up for the game against Dallas once he was upgraded from “doubtful” to “questionable,” but ended up not playing vs the Mavericks. He’s questionable again on the injury report, but here’s renewed optimism that he’ll finally suit up for the Grizzlies. Here’s the starting lineup you should expect to see tonight:
- PG – Ja Morant
- SG – Desmond Bane
- SF – Dillon Brooks
- PF – Santi Aldama
- C – Steven Adams
For the Nets, here’s the lineup that you will probably see starting:
- PG – Ben Simmons
- SG – Kyrie Irving
- SF – Royce O’Neale
- PF – Kevin Durant
- C – Nic Claxton
Memphis Grizzlies vs Brooklyn Nets Prediction for Oct. 24
The Grizzlies will have a tough one tonight, as the Brooklyn Nets are a very solid team, to say the least. The Nets have been off since Oct. 21, as they defeated the Raptors 109-105 in a very tight game.
With the injuries that the Grizzlies are currently dealing with, the Nets will be a tough matchup. Having Dillon Brooks back will definitely help the team on the defensive end, but there is still no guarantee that he plays.
The Grizzlies are going to be out for vengeance from their embarrassing loss in their last outing, so regardless of who plays, I expect this one to be close.
Ultimately, I expect the Grizzlies to come out with a win in a hard-fought game at the FedEx Forum.
Prediction: Memphis 113, Brooklyn 109
