This offseason, the Memphis Grizzlies are expected to make several talent-bolstering moves in an effort to better fill out their roster and up their odds of title contention as soon as next year. Following a 27-55 finish in 2023-24, it's easy to say that Taylor Jenkins' squad could use a little of everything.

As things currently stand, it appears GM Zach Kleiman will primarily be eyeing some sort of upgrade at their pivot position, as he noted during his exit interview that there's "value of having a more traditional or true big" within the team's lineup.

Of course, adding a center likely won't be the only move made by this front office during the offseason, and, in a recent comment on his personal social media account, Grizzlies star Desmond Bane seemingly dropped a hint that he wouldn't mind seeing a former teammate of his make a comeback to Grind City.

Desmond Bane subtly pushes for Tyus Jones reunion with Grizzlies

Tyus Jones, a once beloved Grizzlies player, was recently seen posting on X (formerly Twitter) a sentimental message geared toward his former employers, as he reposted a clip of his reaction to a tribute video aired at FedEx Forum earlier this season accompanied by a comment that read "Memphis love forever".

While likely just an innocent nod of respect to the place he called home for four years (2019 through 2023), Bane opted to view the post as an opportunity to broach the idea of a possible reunion out in the 38103.

As fans are likely aware, Bane, along with the bulk of members of Grizzlies teams from years past, have remained close to the now departed Jones, who recently wrapped up his first season as a member of the Washington Wizards.

In 66 games played on the year, the guard went on to post career highs seemingly all across the board, posting averages of 12.0 points, 7.3 assists, and 2.7 rebounds while shooting 48.9 percent from the floor and 41.4 percent from distance.

Despite his accomplishments in the nation's capital, however, there has been ample speculation that Jones could be a one-and-done as the Wizards teeter on the possibility of a full-fledged rebuild.

Should he be shopped this summer, there will be no shortage of teams that will be looking to vie for his services and, per his recent comments, Bane believes the Grizzlies should be one of them.

Though the presence of Marcus Smart, Vince Williams Jr., and perhaps even Scotty Pippen Jr. make it hard to believe such a reunion is likely to happen this coming summer, the Memphis star is still fanning the flames of such an exciting hypothetical.
