Earlier this month, news broke that Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant had officially opted to part ways with his long-time agent, Jim Tanner of Tandem Sports + Entertainment in search of a fresh new start.

Considering the 24-year-old is one of the game's biggest and brightest talents, it should come as no surprise that his services were heavily courted by the industry's top-billed agencies though, on Thursday afternoon, his search for a new support team had reached its conclusion.

Via the social media platform X (previosuly known as Twitter), the full-service athlete representation agency, Lift Sports Management, revealed that they were the ultimate victors in the Morant sweepstakes, posting a video that announced the guard's signing.

Though Morant is easily their biggest representative in the association at the moment, Lift Sports Management rosters a number of notable NBA players including Magic star Paolo Banchero, Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III, and former Grizzlies and current Wizards point guard Tyus Jones.

Despite his off-court troubles and injury woes that severely impacted his availability during the 2023-24 campaign (was held to just nine games of action), the former No. 2 overall pick from the 2019 NBA Draft is still one of the hottest commodities in the league from a merchandise sales perspective, as he ranked 11 in jersey sales during the second half of this past campaign, falling directly ahead of guys like MVP frontrunners Nikola Jokic (13) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (unlisted).

Morant is a two-time NBA All-Star and an All-NBA selectee who boasts stellar career averages of 22.5 points, 7.4 assists, and 4.8 rebounds on 47.2 percent shooting from the floor.
