No. 10: Will Marc Gasol continue to lead his Grizzlies?

Marc Gasol has been arguably the NBA’s best center all season. He is posting averages of 18.3 PPG, 8.1 RPG, and an astounding (for a center) 3.7 APG. He is doing this on 49.1% shooting from the field, too.

Big Spain has it all–from blocking shots and commanding the paint to sometimes making crowds believe he is a playmaking point guard with his flashy and crafty passes–as you can see from his assists-per-game average. His scoring this season is well above any of his other seasons’ average. Marc could very well end the season averaging over 20 points per game–and if not this year, perhaps the next 10 seasons he will.

The Grizzlies now know what they are going to get when Marc is on the court. Pure dominance. The same goes for Zach Randolph and Mike Conley. Memphis’ continuity and familiarity with one another is what makes them such a close group and a tough, competitive squad.

As long as Marc remains healthy, the Grizzlies are in great hands. Memphis will go as Marc goes.

In that case, if the first half of the season was any form of indication, the Grizzlies may just be going to their first NBA Finals.
