Danny Green (3 and D Defensive Starter)

Danny Green has found a niche in the NBA becoming a reliable 3 and D player for the Spurs. Selden has that same potential if, like Green, he realizes that his future isn’t as a primary scorer in the NBA.

Selden has what every great defender needs: a freakishly long wing span. Selden measures in at 6’5”, but his wingspan is at 6’10”. Those long arms enable him to get into passing lanes and also elevate his jump shot over taller players.

Now Selden needs to come to grips that his days of being a lead scorer that carried him in high school, college and even the summer league are not good enough to carry him in the NBA.

If he accepts who he is at this level, he can become a successful NBA player. If not, he will likely struggle to keep a spot on playoff caliber teams. — Chip Crain (@Chipc3)
