Looking Ahead

The Memphis Grizzlies have a tough three-game road trip coming up, starting off with another trip to Utah on Friday. They have already picked up a win in Utah this season as they won on October 22nd by a final score of 92-84.

After a day off, the Grizzlies head to Phoenix to take on a Suns team in which they beat 117-96 just this past Saturday. The Suns were without Devin Booker that day and it is possible he will be available this time around.

The Grizzlies will then play their first back-to-back of the season as they take on the powerful Golden State Warriors. That will be a very tough game on the second night of the back-to-back, so it makes that Suns game even more crucial.

With many top teams out west struggling early on — such as the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder — it is good to see Memphis get off to a good start.

They need to continue to play well to get as much of a lead on those teams as possible. The final playoff spots will be a very tight race — just as it was last year — and games early in the season will matter.

There is still a long way to go but, it is a good sign to see the Memphis Grizzlies playing so well. We will have to wait and see if they can sustain this success for a long 82-game season.
