2. Key Returns

JJJ is not the only big return set for tonight, he’s not even the only return for the Grizzlies. Though, admittedly, it’s not a return in the same sense of the word.

Tyus Jones is set to return to his home town team the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight, except, he’s going in as an opponent.

Last season, the Wolves decided not to match the Grizzlies offer to Jones, and they let him walk for just over $9 million a year. While that may have seemed harsh, especially since the Wolves let him go while his mother was battling cancer, Jones says that he harbors no ill will.

"They [the Grizzlies] showed extreme confidence in me. No ill will toward Minnesota or anything like that. I know it’s a business, and I knew going into it. So there’s no hard feelings on my end or anything like that. I know how it goes."

For the Timberwolves, their big star Karl-Anthony Towns is also set to return tonight from a two-game suspension for his on-court fight with Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid. The big man is a key part to Minnesota’s game, and the Grizzlies are going to have a tough time matching up against him.
