Memphis Grizzlies bench players who stepped up

As I said, the Memphis Grizzlies were able to secure a huge win against a struggling Houston Rockets team. The game wasn’t even close and was a complete blowout as early as the first half. With all due respect, the Houston Rockets never stood a chance. It looked like men against boys out there.

But this victory was brought on by the bench unit for the most part. I already spoke about Justise Winslow’s scoring explosion, but he was one of many key contributors from the second unit on Sunday.

Most notably in the point category, we saw Brandon Clarke with 16 points, De’Anthony Melton with 14 points, Tyus Jones with 13 points, and Gorgui Dieng with 12 points. Melton, known as “Mr. Do Something,” also tallied 4 steals and 5 assists, proving that he can, in fact, do something. He’s been a huge energy guy all year and helped contribute to this game in a big way.
