Memphis Grizzlies 6th man: Top candidates

When you’re looking for the team’s 6th man, there are some obvious candidates right off the bat. Brandon Clarke has been the guy filling in for Jaren Jackson Jr., so logically, he would become the 6th man. The issue with this is that Jackson might eat up so many minutes that Clarke won’t have space to become that guy.

The next obvious candidate would be Desmond Bane, the Grizzlies’ first round pick from the 2020 NBA Draft. He’s been a lights-out 3-point shooter and an instant contributor to this team. The only argument against him becoming the 6th man is his lack of experience, which he has already proven to not be fazed by.

You could even say that Justise Winslow will become the team’s 6th man, coming off of the bench as an elite defender while Kyle Anderson gets some rest. In terms of opportunity, he has the biggest opening to step into. This solely depends on how much he can develop an offensive game throughout this year.
