Former Memphis Grizzlies player No. 4: Justin Holiday, SG, Indiana Pacers

At number four, shooting guard Justin Holiday may be a forgotten member of the Grizzlies for some fans.

Holiday arrived in Memphis from Chicago in a trade that sent MarShon Brooks and Wayne Seldon to the Bulls. Justin is a player who you can count on getting a few buckets while forcing a couple of turnovers each game. Holiday isn’t necessarily a big-time player, but he is certainly serviceable.

In his time in Memphis, in 29.1 minutes per game, Holiday underwhelmed, averaging just 9.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.3 blocks on just 39% from the field and 33% from behind the arc.

After a disappointing season, Holiday hit free agency and eventually signed a contract with the Indiana Pacers, joining his brother Aaron. In Indiana, Holiday has bounced back to his former self, improving his percentages and many advanced metrics.

This season, Holiday is averaging 11.7 points, 4 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.4 blocks. He’s also shooting better than years past, hitting almost 46% of his shots from the field, 41.4% from three, and 82% from the charity stripe.
