The Memphis Grizzlies have more bench depth than any NBA team

The Memphis Grizzlies have been trying to figure things out without Jackson Jr., and as a result, they’ve explored different options off of the bench.

This has opened an entire new avenue of possibilities for Taylor Jenkins, who has learned a lot about his team through this process. At the 4, Kyle Anderson has filled in for JJJ, but an entirely new realm of possibilities has opened up as a result of this shift.

We’ve seen breakout seasons from guys like Desmond Bane and De’Anthony Melton. We saw rookie Xavier Tillman give the Grizzlies great minutes early in the year. We’ve seen Brandon Clarke step into the starting lineup and thrive.

The Grizzlies may not have a superstar (yet) like many other teams, but they have more talent on this roster top-to-bottom than anybody else in the league. If the starters can’t get things done, the bench unit can step in and find success.

Even in the case of an injury, this Grizzlies team will have more playoff-ready players than any of their competition.
