Memphis Grizzlies player potential rankings: No. 12-10

These rankings are going to be all over the place. On this slide, we’ll be shifting from players lost at the end of the rotation to two starters and the backup point guard. That said, each of these guys has hit a relative ceiling when it comes to production.

12. Tyus Jones: Tyus Jones will likely be a career backup at the point guard position. It’s not as bad as it sounds —  he has been as good of a backup as the Grizzlies could ask for behind Ja Morant. That said, it seems clear that he doesn’t have explosive athleticism, size, or shooting abilities that are necessary to take the next step. He’ll likely be a solid NBA player, but no more than that.

11. Kyle Anderson. I feel horrible about having Kyle Anderson this far down the list, but he’s one of the older players on the team. At 27 years old, he finally got a shot to be in the Grizzlies starting lineup and showed out. He has been playing the best basketball of his career, but likely won’t get another chance to play this frequently with Jaren Jackson Jr.’s return on the horizon. We love “Slow-Mo” but he has hit a ceiling.

10. Justise Winslow: Justise Winslow hasn’t yet reached the ceiling that he was supposed to in the NBA. On the offensive side of the ball, he has struggled, while continuing to be one of the best defenders in the league. The fact that the 25-year old former Duke Blue Devil is ranked at the 10-spot on this team is a testament to how much potential is on this squad.
