Memphis Grizzlies Player Rating Predictions: NBA 2K22

Santi Aldama: Aldama is a floor-stretching big who could be great for the Grizzlies down the road. Unfortunately, 2K22 will not care about that. Any player drafted outside of the top-7 tends to get a terrible rating in this game and Aldama was the last pick in the first round. The one thing that may salvage his overall rating is his ability to knock down 3-balls, which tends to reflect well on players’ ratings.

2K21 Rating: N/A

Predicted 2K22 Rating: 70

Sean McDermott: When it comes to this team’s veteran players, McDermott is probably going to have the lowest rating. Last year, he was given a 69 overall rating, though he didn’t do much to prove that he deserves an increase in 2020-21. The fact that he’s still on the roster, however, should be enough proof that he deserves a small bump.

2K21 Rating: 69

Predicted 2K22 Rating: 72

Ziaire Williams: Williams was a top-ten pick and a player taken in the lottery. That said, he is a young guy who hasn’t proven that he can shoot the 3-pointer well. Because of this, I’d expect his rating to be relatively low, at least to kick off the new 2K22 game. If history tells us anything about 2K and rating the 10th overall pick, it’s that he’ll be somewhere in the 72 or 73 range.
