The Memphis Grizzlies can expect even bigger contributions from Desmond Bane in his sophomore season

By all metrics, Desmond Bane exceeding the expectations that everyone had for him in his rookie season. He developed instant chemistry with players and gained trust from the coaching staff. He earned the right to be on the floor in a myriad of late-game situations and more often than not, Bane delivered for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Bane will be expected to continue his growth trajectory next season, all while maintaining his status as the team’s most accurate three-point shooter.

Bane led the Grizzlies last season by making 43.2% of his threes— a valuable skill that’s hard to be off the floor.

Hopefully, one day Bane will not be in consideration for sixth man, but in consideration to be a starter for the Memphis Grizzlies. The second-team All-NBA Rookie continues to prove that he was perhaps the steal of the 2020 NBA draft as the 30th pick overall.
