Memphis Grizzlies have promising young talent to offer in trade scenarios

The Grizzlies have been, and continue to be, one of the youngest teams in the NBA. The majority of their roster is under the age of 24 (11 players).

  • Killian Tillie, 24
  • Desmond Bane, 24
  • Xavier Tillman, 24
  • Ja Morant, 22
  • Jaren Jackson Jr., 22
  • Vince Williams Jr., 21
  • David Roddy, 21
  • Santi Aldama, 21
  • Ziaire Williams, 20
  • Jake LaRavia, 20
  • Kennedy Chandler, 19

If you exclude the big question mark on this roster, Danny Green, everyone under contract for next season is younger than 30.

  • Steven Adams, 29
  • John Konchar, 26
  • Tyus Jones, 26
  • Dillon Brooks, 26
  • Brandon Clarke, 25

Rebuilding teams, namely Utah and maybe/maybe not Brookly, will want to add young talent in addition to the inevitable war chest of draft picks in a blockbuster.

Memphis could flip a few of their young players for a proven and established veteran that can help them win now and fit the timeline of Morant, Jackson, and Bane— three players most likely labeled as “untouchable” in trade talks.

Ziaire Williams, David Roddy, and Kennedy Chandler could all be excellent building blocks for a team looking to hit the reset button. If not, they are going to be fantastic players to develop and watch grow next season.
