Nick Young

Nick Young‘s 2018-19 NBA season was short-lived — that is, unless he makes a return before it ends.

Once a Grizz killer as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, he could provide an offensive boost off the bench, especially now with Dillon Brooks sidelined for the rest of the season.

Young is a veteran that can get hot from deep, though a streaky shooter overall. His quick stint with the Denver Nuggets was not promising, but last season’s championship run with the Golden State Warriors was filled with positivity. He made a big impact in the NBA just months ago, so he has to have something left in the tank today.

Beale Street Bears recently tweeted Nick Young during a Q & A session, and surprisingly he responded. It may not mean anything at all, but it is rather interesting that he deleted his initial response and retyped a more favorable answer.

The Memphis Grizzlies would have to be crazy to not reach out at all. He may not be a perfect fit, but he does have a skill set that could boost their offensive woes. Honestly, any offense at all would fit the team’s biggest need, which is to put points on the board.

To top things off, Memphis has been accustomed to reviving veterans’ careers and squeezing the last ounce of contribution out of them. Think back to Vince Carter. Before Vinsanity was Chris Andersen. Then Gilbert Arenas. Could Nick Young be the next well-known vet to sign on with the Grizz?
