The Memphis Grizzlies would receive younger talent in exchange for JV, Kyle Anderson, and Justise Winslow

This trade for the Memphis Grizzlies centers around shipping out their experienced players in exchange for a pair of younger guys. This trade was proposed by NBA Analysis Network, here’s what it looks like.

While the Grizzlies would surely be getting less talent straight away, Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman, at age 26 and 20 respectively, would have more potential to grow with the team down the road. On the contrary, Jonas Valanciunas is 29 years old, Justise Winslow is 25 years old, and Kyle Anderson is 27 years old.

None of the Grizzlies’ current players are old by any stretch of the imagination, but they may end up outgrowing this team by the time a duo of 21-year olds in Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. enter their prime.

That said, this would function as a reload for Memphis, sending a promising center in James Wiseman to Memphis in exchange for Jonas Valanciunas. It would satisfy an instant need for the Golden State Warriors and a future need for the Memphis Grizzlies.

But does this trade actually make sense?
